Well it’s been a while. I’m going to post those pictures of the answers for the quiz sometime soon, but until then I’m going to do something I haven’t done before. I’m going… to philosophize. There, I said it, I am a philosophizer of sorts. I don’t make a philosophy I just think really, really deep, like whether human nature is good or evil. Lets break it down a little more: are you looking at this from an atheistic or christian point of view? Now you may not think that matters, but it does. An atheist believes that mankind is evolving, and part of that evolutionary step is that humans are ‘evolving’ into better creatures which means that we will eventually evolve out of evil and into some sort of ‘better being’.
Christians and other religions believe that man has a sin nature, that we are not going to turn into beams of light and float around the galaxy like a better version of Q from ‘Star Trek’ . Not that his whole entire race was really better. In fact, I would say that the race Q was worse than what we are now. Anyway, we also believe in a life after death, evolutionists do not. We believe that there is a god, they do not. A good book to read about that subject is a book called ‘A Conflict Of Visions’ by Thomas Sowell. It’s hard to keep interested in since it was written to big corporation rich people. (I don’t remember the actual term but that was basically it.) The book goes into the two different types of world views, those being the constrained and the unconstrained visions. The constrained is the christian world view and the unconstrained is atheistic.
You may recall that the American Revolution was based on a constrained vision, they wanted less power for those with power. Like the saying goes, power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. When you have a king or emperor or even a president, there’s no way to stop human nature, whether you think that human nature is good or bad is up to you. I leave you with these answers of mine.
So I believe that humans:
- Have a sin nature.
- Are not getting better.
- Did not, are not, and will never evolve.
- Are not related to monkeys.
Leave a comment, or not. It’s your choice, but please do something.
